SS is good, but really if someone doesn't want to level CNJ to 34, its not like they are hurting them selves by much or making things that much harder on them. In higher level content (when it is actually useful) you'll either be alone and it could be helpful (but not super important) or you'll be with another healer who may also have it or be a WHM.

There is really no way that I can see it being a GET IT spell like Swiftcast or CS. And I think you mean Adlo not Succor. Though you should be Adlo'ing (before fight) anyway, as the shield will stack with SS.
Actually stoneskin is needed on sch if you raid as that class. When my raid group was pushing t9, if i wasnt stoneskinning members of the team and using sch shields on top of the SS for megaflare, then i was doing something very wrong . So for raids (and raids alone) you could perhaps class stoneskin on scholar as a must.
However, if you have no intention to raid on sch, its not needed really

More over, if you want to raid on sch, it is very useful to have first hand experience as whm to know how you healing partner in the raid can handle mechanics on their class.

TL;DR Stoneskin on scholar, get it to raid. Raiding on sch, also get experience using whm @ 50 . Not raiding on sch, do what suits you in regards to stoneskin. .

This is a nice point to make. I feel like my healing game gained a lot from learning each healer, as well as getting some tanking experience. It's good to be able to predict what your fellow healer will do, and you'll need to experience the white mage toolkit to see just where it stands strong and where it's weak points are.

As far as leveling, once you get to brayflox, you'll start experiencing challenges as white mages that may be different from your experience as scholar. You'll learn mp management and hate management, and conjurer/white mage should get a bit less tedious for you. Each class is a very different animal, and I enjoy both of them very much. The initial lack of healing challenge as well as the simplicity of white mage early on is a tedious start, but give it time and hopefully it will grow on you some.

1-32 on CNJ/WHM is basically "Cure" "Cure" "Cure" etc etc, lol. Then you hit Brayflox and realise there is so much more to it than that. I would say stick with it, and try to vary what you do to level so you don't burn out on content.

I found it the opposite. Dungeons are the fasted way I've found to level. Arcanist was a nightmare to level because of the DPS queue. I was either doing fates that were too high or too low for me or leves that were painfully slow EXP. I ended up bribing tanks to queue with me for the last few levels. On CNJ I could have my almost instant healer queue from the beginning. IMO there's no way to make any class less boring at low levels, but CNJ levels way faster for me.

At least you have to actually pay attention. At low levels a scholar can just lock on to the tank, turn on autorun and go AFK while the fairy heals.

If you pay $12/mo for that, you may as well go shoot into a cave for $0/mo.

Honestly I found leveling Arcanist a lot harder than leveling Conjurer, and I purposely left quests aside for all of the DoM classes so I wouldn't have too slow of a leveling rate. But it takes until Level 30 to actually make getting into dungeons worth it, since it does take so long until then. But as others said in this, it definitely helps. Conjurer and Scholar both play very differently, and the way you approach things differs a lot. I honestly think it gets more fun once you start getting into dungeons myself, since those are where you'll get better EXP. If you find it slow just get used to switching between DPS and healing, picks things up and it's good to know for later on.

I don't. I don't recommend doing it either. I was just saying conjurer is more fun than scholar at low levels since scholar doesn't even require the player at all. And yes I agree Destiny sucks giant horse dongs.

If your fairy can handle all of the healing then you're just spending your time applying damage as a Scholar instead. Depends entirely on the group, the dungeon, things like that, but that doesn't change between Scholar/White Mage really, just the ease with which it can be done.
