    Subsidiary FCs

Not sure if this is the best place to post this suggestion.

It would be nice if FCs can have subsidiary FCs - which can be completely, partly, or not at all owned by the encompassing FC.

In general, while FFXIV's social tools are adequate, it could be better. FCs within FCs I felt would be an improvement.

Recently 2 members left the FC I'm in because they wanted to start their own - for the purpose of sharing crafting mats. Could have been avoided if FCs can take other FCs as members - FC chat will be viewable by all FC and sub-FC members; sub-FC chat will be viewable only to sub-FC members.

Sry. Such is life. FCs come and go. They weren't satisfied for whatever reason and they left. It happens.

I sympathize, but ultimately is this a worth-while expenditure of dev time?

Just suggesting better organisation capabilities. It would be easier for FCs to team up too this way.

As it stands, all FCs contribute to individuals is small experience boosts and additional storage.

Giving a sub-faction to a clique within an FC is already somewhat of an option through linkshells and friends list. What value is added by coding a shell within a shell? How is organization enhanced beyond already existing options? How does it become easier for FCs to team up? A "we are affiliated with this other FCs subfaction." in a dialouge box describing the relationship doesnt make it true or any more convenient to team up.

BL: I run with 5-6 other players consistently In my FC. We have a LS just for us. I also have a LS for my Saturday Static, and my Hunt Brigade. Coding additional organization options is pretty moot.

FCs can/will be more than just "small experience boosts and additional storage". They are adding FC crafting (or something) that involves an FC working together to build something.

To be frank, you can fake an FC with a LS too. There is considerable overlap in capabilities with the FC and LS functionalities of the game - personally I see LS as informal groups and FCs as formal organisations.

I want to see better "organisation tools" - this is after all a social, massive multiplayer online RPG.

With sub-FCs we can have huge multi-level organisations. Such organisations can accomplish even more - be it FC crafting projects, raids, ... etc.

Can you fake multi-level organisations with LSs? Sure, but keep track of everything will be a pain in the behind.
