Unfortunately, SpSp is woefully poor in its current state. Even in 3.0 it still won't be all that useful for healers.
Thing about spell speed is, is that is provides no effective gain. White Mages aren't like Black Mages where you cast one spell after another in succession. They actually get some spells out of it within the same time frame compared to a crit build. In White mage's case, it just generates more idle time.
The only exception when you could get an extra spell out within a certain time frame would be with Presence of Mind. Even then that's only 1 extra spell in 15 seconds every 2:30 minutes which you may or may not get out of it. For DPS purposes where you'd spam one stone after another it would have benefit. In case of healing you're overhealing after the second or third cure. Meanwhile, during the 2:15 minutes of time without presence of mind, any spell you use will not have the benefit you'd get from having determination or critical hit rate - if you were to choose those over spell speed. For both healing and damage purposes.
This forum needs a few sticky topics:
1. Healer DPS and You
2. Spell Speed and Why You Don't Need It (possibly to be revised in 3.0, but we'll see how that actually turns out)
3. Macros: Why You Don't Need That Many and Why DPS Macros Are Terrible
4. Why Eos and Selene are Mentally Impaired and Should Not Be Allowed Out of the House on Sic
Most of the google result (I think all), people say SpellSpeed is pretty much trash for whmThe only place I find that has SpellSpeed build is only this one
Can you edit meld even though you already progressed far to the next level? like zetaOriginally Posted by Mahiko San

A good balance of stats – everything your WHM needs!
Balanced (lessen costs): 24 Piety, 23 DET, 28 Spell Speed
Alot of WHM’s really like DET and don’t like SS (snip). The main reason people hate on SS is that bosses are “scripted” and precasting heals + perfect play leads to not needing it. People forget that actual human beings (not robots) pilot characters, and while PROGRESSING FAST thru raids, perfect play isn’t always there since knowledge of the encounter isn’t “ingrained in memory” yet. I like SS a little more than DET, and I stick to that. But I wouldn’t want to live without either.

Yea you can with Nexus, Novus, Zodiak, Zeta equipped you get Alex from fates and if you obtain a new sphene roll for the 3 superior enchnted inks (Central Thanalan) and hand it (unmelded!!!!) to Jalzahn you get a copy of your recent melds with which you can go back to Central Thanatal and remove the meld 1 by 1 you dont want. Be aware you will need for each remeld a new Alex.
Also theres a lil "glitch/trick" wherein you can have 2 setups by saving one remelded copy in retainer A. get another free roll and copy it again hand to retainer B. And depending on which setup you wanna use you get empty roll and exchange for one of the 2 melds you have.
PS: im aware my explaining is crap but I think you get the point XD
Alot of eliteists will claim spell speed is useless because of preemptive fights, but for big speed run pulls where you need to throw a large amount of cures out quickly and certain moves like prey on T10 its really handy, with presence of mind and alot of spell speed you could stop both preys on the add phase without even using a swiftcast and give you SCH some time to do some dps (Or carry him xD) Plus Holy spam.
Plus Speed spell is rumored to be getting a buff in 3.0, Where its going to be directly effecting HOT's like Regen and medica 2. WIN.
Again with this elitist crap. You have just as much right to share your opinion about spell speed as anyone else, but stop trying to throw other people under the bus to make your position seem more relevant. It A) is rude and B) does not work.Alot of eliteists will claim spell speed is useless because of preemptive fights, but for big speed run pulls where you need to throw a large amount of cures out quickly and certain moves like prey on T10 its really handy, with presence of mind and alot of spell speed you could stop both preys on the add phase without even using a swiftcast and give you SCH some time to do some dps (Or carry him xD) Plus Holy spam.

Even if someone were a true "elitist" in the sense of being a condescending, unnecessarily exclusive player, that wouldn't necessarily make them wrong about this, anyway.
Also, we covered this about T10. You don't need your Adlos or Stoneskins to be hundredths of a second faster since you know exactly when Prey is going out and can prepare for it.

I capped out Determination and Piety, then put the few last points left in Accuracy.
