if you're in the USA which prepaid debit card do you use?

    as the title says,
if you're in the USA which prepaid debit card do you use.
if you use one please respond with the company listed on the card and where you bought the card please.
no cc/debit card numbers. not asking for that.

the reason I'm asking is because my mate is being met with utter frustration trying to find one that works, for the moment she is unable to get a bank account for whatever reason so its prepaid cards for online and cash in person.

I can confirm that the American Express for Target prepaid card works on Mog Station for Final Fantasy XIV. This card is obtainable at select Target stores and costs $3 to load, with no monthly fees.

I have used them to purchase Crysta (essentially a deposit to your Square Enix Account balance), then use Crysta to prepay for my subscription. I have not used them for automatic subscriptions, but the Crysta balance can be used for all subscription terms and costs the same. If your friend has trouble with using a card with the monthly subscription, she may want to try using it to add Crysta.

I have used the Serve from American Express card with other game publishers in the past. The Bluebird card is on the same platform as Serve, so using it should have similar results.

Please note that these kind of prepaid cards are different than gift cards. They often look the same but gift cards do not require identification to activate and can't be reloaded.

My card came directly from the bank, so no help here. However, doesn't paypal have its own debit card you can use?

she just wants one that she can use to pay for our eternal bonding with. and Crysta is my preferred auto payment. less fuss that way.

unfortunately they won't give her one unless her account has a verified bank account and verified CC on it.

I think any of visa/mc/amex/disc works. I used to use the one from our local Kroger.
I only have to add that SE does something like credit check first before charging your card. They charge your card for $1 just to check if your card works which they would give back to you later, then they charge for whatever purchase you did at Mog. I mean, I suggest you add some allowance to make room for this check. Don't buy a prepaid card that has value at exact amount as stated in Mog.

ahh !@#$ I didn't think of that. it's probably why she was rejected cause she only added $40 to each of the 2 cards she got

I just go down to the grocery store and pick up whatever says Visa or Mastercard. I've yet to have one fail.

I use a PayPower Visa that I purchased from Safeway. It works great with anything and haven't had any issues.
