I'm a guy that plays a female Lalafell. There's a story behind my choice though but I ended up liking her anyways. I've already told people I'm not changing race for their amusement.
They wanna pet it but they won't put a ring on it!
I was shocked this was a thing myself. But I messed up cause I didn't know you could cheat the character limit on the post. So I'll remake mine. I wonder if people would be put off by me being a guy but playing a female toon. - No I don't pretend to be a girl...- I just like looking at cute women. :c Wait.... that doesn't sound odd does it?-
Well it is for some people I guess. I've seen people break off RP relationships because one of them figured out the other was a guy for some people they seem to treat an MMO as a real life dating website and it just goes against the point of RP to create and nurture a character. If they just want the special items then maybe they don't care at all either way. Just tends to be people who put a lot of value on the relationship from a real life and not in game standpoint that care.
That makes you sound like a great majority of male players. I've known a lot of female players in games who play males too it's just more pleasing to the eye in both cases sometimes. From my own perspective as somebody who for much of my life had an interest in RP I like making characters very different from myself. I'm boring honestly lol quite introverted, not particularly talented or exciting so I don't want to play something like myself in a game. I often create female characters because it's something new to explore approaching a life from another gender perspective and I often prefer female outfits in games for playing dress up anyway. I'll usually make characters who are much more confidence and have a better personality than I do. I always enjoyed strong female characters in most media, books etc. I think it was being bought up by a single Mother or something lol. She did everything for me growing up so I probably saw her as a bit of a super hero as a kid which is maybe why I tend to gravitate to strong women in stories or games.I was shocked this was a thing myself. I'm the same in alot of ways. I draw comics and when I was a kid I was always the one asking " why not". It drove my friends insane. And yes, female outfits are by far alot better in 99.9% of games. - plus legs..... those legs-. lol. But yeah I feel you on mostly all those levels, I still feel bad about my first post - 3 post- tho. T.T If I had known. :c
PS. I still don't know how to cheat the limit. I had to cut stuff from this very post. How do I I don't even. TT.TT
The word limit? You just write a bit then post and click edit post. Then you can write as much as you want.
Why did it give me my newly updated avatar and then go back to an old one? Weird forum. Sometimes changing race really seems to confuse it even if Lodestone updates okay.

Don't give up. yes this thread is a thing, found my hubby here and he transfered to my server to be with me. As for the color thing it should not matter, I am usually in mostly pink myself.
Any Ragnarok player want to do the quest with me, at Platinum level? I'm only interested in doing it for the outfits and rewards etc. Not looking for a companion.
