tldr:I'm done with this, I got stood up at the altar and didn't even get the courtesy of a break-up message.

I ended up deleting my posts here. I've been posting off and on for almost a year now, had a few good times, met a couple interesting people, but nothing's ever worked out. This last person that messaged me took the cake though. They'd seen my post and messaged me out of the blue, we met up in game, each thought the other was pretty cool and decided to be friends in-game.
After a while, as we got to know each other, it started moving towards more of an online relationship, which was great and all. One day they "proposed" to me by gifting me a platinum bracelet for the EB. I accepted, and a couple days later we did the quest and scheduled the ceremony.

But then, with absolutely no warning, they ghosted me. No response on Discord, nothing in-game, zip. Figuring some stuff may have gone down (there'd been family emergencies recently), I gave her a few days before trying again. Still nothing. Eventually I reached out to one of her other in-game friends to find out what was going on and I got the aggressive response of "Whatever it was you did was so horrible that she said she never wants to speak with you again." Shortly after, I found myself unfriended, blacklisted, and kicked out of sharing their house.

I've been dumped (and have dumped) before, so while it sucks, you just move on. But things had been going great, we'd just set up that EB ceremony the night before, we'd said good night, and then the next day I was persona non grata. No explanations, not even a break-up message, just "don't ever talk to her" from their friend.

So, yeah, that royally sucked. I'm going to unsubscribe and take a break from the game for a few months I think. Sorry about the rant, wish you all better luck than I've had.

No, not that person. Someone else.
The only possible reason I can think of for what happened is maybe after setting up the EB ceremony they decided that it was going too fast? Doesn't excuse what they did though.
I blame Facebook/Twitter syndrome, everyone goes scorched earth and unfriends/bans people at the smallest issue instead of even talking about it.
