no necessarily. You can just stipulate that you JUST want a friend to level. Most people here are open to romance, but you can't say "I don't want romance so don't even try" or others JUST want romance in game giving not more info about themselves. Of course that can reduce your chance to find someone, plus add that most of us won't transfer just to level with another person that could possible be a friend or just a leveling partner (kind of feels like a co-worker), and many more factors.

I'm constantly debating whether I should fill out a form or not. TBH the idea of this sounds kind of weird and I'm more content with just a friend I could team up with for stuff.

Will be out for interviews tomorrow from like 5 to 8 PST, but otherwise free. Should be on at some point for dailies and the 24-mans before I get dragged off to Overwatch...

I've only asked for friendship but have gotten too many people wanting way more than I'm willing to give.

That's the issue right there. It's a marriage hookup thread for a game not an actual dating site. So yes it's understandable that many people aren't actually looking for a serious relationship with it.. Just because you get married to a person in-game doesn't mean you need to have a romantic relationship IMO.. Many people out there get married and their partner sees it way deeper which causes problems.

I personally avoided all marriage for this reason until I finally met someone and it just.. happened. And even then it took 8months for me to be ready to have the actual wedding xD. I'm thankful he was so patient lol

JumperX, from what I can gather.. about your standing on transfer, are you saying it would not be worth transferring to a server for someone if there is not the chance of a romantic relationship?

I am not saying it is not worth it. It can or cannot. It depends on people's perspective, but most people won't transfer as simple as that. you tell me. is it worth it for you?

Let's be realistic. It's kind of unrealistic to think that a person with a main in another server will hang out on another for 3-4 months while leaving behind their main, group, and friends. You said it that you met someone and just.."happened" You probably spend time with that person more than just a few 30 mins per day/week to have a relationship.

I wouldn't transfer if I had connections with people in my current server. I don't think I could do such a thing. Even if I really liked the other person..

I know of people with enough time on their hands to have that sort of thing though. They could certainly have a relationship that way.

It's kinda hard to answer the question because I want to spend money to transfer as it is lol. My answer would be:

Yes, but only if I have no ties(Friends, partner, etc) keeping me there and I could go make new friends on the new server. As of now, I'm far from a "yes".

I know what you are talking about. People do say they have relationships (friends, statics, FC/LS,etc), yet they want more? again human nature. I have been in different servers and worlds, and I got to know that not all of them are to my liking. You get to know the community in their "best behavior" when you are " a new player " because people tread you very differently than other with "experience"

Then my friend that's the answer. You would transfer if you got not friends. You said it, it is hard to do so if you got friends. We have to remember that it takes a lot of effort from both side to be persistent and continue talking. I met some people who would not talk much after the first meeting. That's a big factor people need to consider. I, as the one planning to move, am willing to spend time and make the other person notice me and spend time even thought I am playing an alt that is level 1?. or I, as the person who is not moving, am willing to spend time with this other person that can't play with me at all in this moment because we are trying to see whether or not we click?

I find that, ironically, those players who are at least open to the idea of romance, tend to be a lot easier to grow close to and befriend than those looking for -friends only-

In my experience, those who are seeking exclusively for friendship tend to be less open, less compromising and much slower and careful in their offering of their trust and time.
This is in part caused by the fact that a lot of -friends only- players are already otherwise romantically engaged, which means that they need to be a lot more observant and careful of limits and boundaries.

I guess i just find that befriending those "looking for" and willing tends to be a lot more smooth, thrilling and relaxed than those who begin a relationship by limiting it.
And even when you are not desperate for romance, it is always sweet and exciting, to have that "What if" on the back burner of your unconcious mind :3
