Typically people can get used to the presence of another
in this case what I have in mind is
There are people who are looking for strictly in game romances and stuff etc etc
soo with that being said
what happens when the other person decides they want to find something proper?
Have/are any of you not looking for anything real, been with somebody in game a while and they leave for something proper?
Call it my own little study, how does that work, how does the person feel who doesn't want anything real (at all) when the person they're always with normally isn't there anymore?

Educate me ^^, I'm not here to ridicule or make an example of anybody for their preferences

I know 5 different couples who have met in game and are now married. No rush jobs, it took time of course. So I know it does happen. I know tons want the IG/ON Line experience of the "in a couple" status. I can't give you a number, it seems to be a bit more common than just friends.

That category is broken up in a couple of ways. some are married and claim they can do anything on line BUT never meet in rl. I won't say they are or not being honest about that they can or can't do it. it's just hinky to me unless you get their SO to tell you its ok. I know most people are not out to cause problems or be a home wrecker or want the drama.

There are some who are single and want the on line and in game relationship.

Some just wanna collection of people to call their own. with or without each other knowing of each other.

Some want a hookup.

and some just want a gaming partner and a rl on line friend to chill and be themselves with.

Some want just friendships. Nothing more.

Some want friendships and it may evolve into more. Those seem to be the ones that last. they have built a foundation and made a true connection off of a friendship and it blossomed into more over time.

Some just want the gear and mount from EBs. (eternal bonds)

Me personally, friendships. that's my happy place. If it turns into something more. Icing on the cake but that's a ways away.If they are want more, they will be worth the wait until I get there, if I get there first, they will be worth the wait.

There are many situations and scenarios. but the bottom line is, most are looking for someone to get to know, hang out with, learn from. enjoy in a long lasting "relationship" of some sort. FFXIV is an awesome game but if you can find someone to share it with and enjoy things with it enhances the experience. Not many want to go on vacation alone....same with FFXIV

Oh I know what you mean all too well. "Blocked" is so easily used in game and on line. Friendships are valuable to me. I Cherish them. To them, its a passing thing. People literally think, "so many fish in the sea, I can find another". I had to keep friendzoning someone for months and I thought it was clear and straightened out. But he had big dreams. He wanted to also be my partner in everything like running the fc and stuff. No one was qualified to do that. He had some responsibilities in the fc though a partner helping me run it isn't really needed. We had the staff. Well anyways, He saw a friend of mine who also had responsibilities with in the fc emote me that "alluring" heart thing he just got, I think its a SAM class that gives it out or something, and I was blocked.Ghosted. SMH

One time, (at band camp) I mean umm.. sometimes, people are in awe with the girls who own FCs and are very attracted to that. and those never last. Its the person that matters. not the titles..Soo many reasons and mindsets on why people do things these days. I wish I had the script in their heads before hand, At least I would know if i want to sign up for the part. giggling

I would make a post here, but my life is extremely busy. So, I can only play for about 1 to 1.5 hours a night and then on the weekend. I would love to make friends to play with as I been lonely in the game and only have 1 friend, whom cannot play because their internet is slow and dc a lot, but otherwise, I am by myself.

I been trying to find a FC with more active members on the weekend and like to party together, but that has been very hard on Aether.

While I am always open to the idea of a friendship turning to something more as a single guy, but I never gave that a thought as I think any relationship started online rarely ever does well or goes anywhere. I just think people think more of it is a game and keep it as just it is a game.

I do hope that those who meet others from these posts and such do end up very happy.
