    My Macros 3

    ------------------------------

Rapid Deployment - 1 button wonder (if u have 3 secs)

    /macroicon "Deployment Tactics"
    /macrolock
    /ac "Adloquium" <pet>
    /pac Steady
    /pac Guard
    /pac "Fey Covenant" <me>
    /wait 3
    /ac "Deployment Tactics" <pet>

adloquium your pet as the pet uses fey covenant then deployment tactics on your pet thus giving your party a strong shield as well as the fey covenant magic damage reduction. It takes 3 seconds to do but if you know you have 3 seconds its an excellent way to mitigate that big raidwide magic damage with a single button .. we use macrolock to prevent us from accidentally interrupting this complex macro

    ------------------------------
    Emergency Succor

    /macroicon "Emergency Tactics"
    /macrolock
    /ac "Emergency Tactics" <me>
    /wait
    /ac "Succor" <me>

Casts Emergency Tactics followed by Succor when you need a big group heal rather than a small group heal and a shield can also be used with adloquium in the same way

This may be a bit late since your response but I had this same problem, especially when switching to a different fairy mid fight. If you don't mind not seeing the exact micon for your faerie you can always do this (requires you never to switch macros and will still trigger just the same, on your bar it will appear grey'd out but it will still work if clicked.)

    /macroicon "Silent Dusk" pet
    /petaction "Silent Dusk" <t>
    /petaction "Whispering Dawn" <me>
In this case if your using Selene, Silent Dusk will trigger, as long as a target is selected, or if Eos is being used and pressed Whispering Dawn will trigger with or without a target. If your using Eos, the Silent Dusk micon will still be shown on your hotbar but as long as you know my "Xwhatever" key is used for Whispering Dawn when Eos is drawn it will still work effectively.

Same goes for embrace and all the fairies pet abilities. This for me has been a great work around for me especially because I use <mo>'s for embraces, and -ideally- I like hitting the same button (cntrl+1-4) for using my pet abilities it just varies what it does based on the current pet I have out.

While I wouldn't recommend this to someone starting out new- but maybe for those veterans who may have used the /chotbar copy command to switch their pet actions around to different hot bars depending on pet summoned...

You can even go as far as mixing the buffs that share a different shared cooldown.

For example- you want the same macro button for Fey Wind and Whispering Dawn, but normally Fey Wind and Fey Illumination share the same cooldown pet wise- this macro will still work:
    /micon "Fey Wind" pet Selene
    /petaction "Fey Wind" <me>
    /petaction "Whispering Dawn" <me>
!!!BUT!!! you must keep in mind the micon will show the recast for Fey Illumination, since that is the ability shared with Fey Wind, NOT Whispering Dawn.

For this reason I highly recommend coupling the abilities that share the same cooldown (listed below). But in the event there may have been others like myself who played SCH before we had macros or the ability to switch abilities on our hotbar via command and may have done this by hand in earlier 2.0 days, then this method may be beneficial to you~

In the event anyone uses this method and couples their CDs differently meaning switching up the macros different from the shared cooldowns below- it might be a good idea to have /micons of both eos/selenes buffs -somewhere- in your HUD for visual reference of what cooldowns are actually available to you- especially if you are switching your pet in a fight for any reason.

Ex: pet bar alignment - cooldowns shared
    Eos <<>> Selene
    • Embrace <<>> Embrace
    • Whisper Dawn <<>> Silent Dusk
    • Fey Covenant <<>> Fey Caress
    • Fey Illumination <<>> Fey Wind

**Technically an Embrace should work regardless of the fairy out if you touch it
    /macroicon "Embrace" pet Selene
    /petaction "Embrace" <mo>
    /petaction "Embrace" <t>
    /petaction "Embrace" <me>

I know of no way to place macros on bars through macros, other than swapping entire bars, but I use my fairy skills manually and without mouseover etc. I just have two special Summon macros.

    Summon 1
    Code:
    /micon "Summon"
    /ac "Swiftcast"
    /wait 1
    /ac "Summon"
    /hotbar pet "Embrace" Eos #2 #1
    /hotbar pet "Whispering Dawn" #2 #2
    /hotbar pet "Fey Covenant" #2 #3
    /hotbar pet "Fey Illumination" #2 #4
    /wait 3
    /pac "Obey"
    and Summon II
    Code:
    /micon "Summon II"
    /ac "Swiftcast"
    /wait 1
    /ac "Summon II"
    /hotbar pet "Embrace" Selene #2 #1
    /hotbar pet "Silent Dusk" #2 #2
    /hotbar pet "Fey Caress" #2 #3
    /hotbar pet "Fey Wind" #2 #4
    /wait 3
    /pac "Obey"
I also have similar ones for Garuda/Titan/Ifrit. I have those macros placed on a sidebar and the fairy skills go onto one of my main bars with a modifier key.

Yeah, I have to click my target, but I can have Eos cast her skills while I cast broil

Hey guys, been running into an issue with the Heel/Place macro since 3.2 hit. If I don't have a target at all, the macro works exactly as it did before patch. But if I have a target, it changes. If the target is an ally, then the move marker instantly vanishes and the pet moves to stack on top of the ally. If the target is an enemy, Place doesn't work at all. Have you guys been having the same trouble? Do you guys know if there's a way to drop target in a macro, so that I can just adjust the macro to drop my target, heel, then place?

    Thanks guys!

Just thinking about swapping over from SMN to SCH and I was wondering, which fairy should I use in what scenario? I'm not certain on what either one excels at or which is best for dungeons.

You'll find people have different mindsets about dungeons, and there isn't a wrong answer. Eos because Whispering Dawn every 60s for AoE regen you have on your tank/party along with embrace, while you are staying in cleric stance burning the junk down. Basically look at it whatever you can do to not switch out much and use your own heal skill is the goal.

Also, sometimes those pug tanks don't know a cooldown button exists either and that also can make up the shortfall on pulls, along with the slam-embrace button talked about here.

awesome stuff. I was wondering what the general consensus for using macros while raiding. I just made a static a few weeks ago and i'm trying to up my game a bit more. I'm just wondering how many other players here do and how thats worked out for them vs manual control. Thank you.
