Thav Onion not working and lost in process

I did this after patch 2.45

Like usual, capped my Choco's exp, was rank 12, killed that one enemy to make it rank 13, but no longer able to gain EXP. Thav Onion should remove that limit, and also note that the TYPICAL and stupid message "your choco is not capped at max EXP and will not gain anymore exp" message did not pop... since you know... it was at the newest rank...

I use the Onion.. and nothing. Lost the onion... choco still at rank 13 and cannot gain any EXP.
