Poll Functionality: Can we have it!?

Serilously... I get sick of threads that "Like" farm with "Polls" that force everyone to pick option A-B-C

We have seen that they can have polls on dev posts, and considering this is rather rudimentary forum software all they need to do is flip a switch to allow us to create out own polls.

I think for us players who like creating large posts for idea farming or to push a really solid idea and gather information polls would be great, because then we can get votes on various pedicels of one item.

Example:
Currently we can only have a post "Liked" even if it has multiple points we may agree and disagree on! With polls we could spread out our idea and see what actually hits off with the community rather than the entire post and person.

Without: Hey guys I want more ____ Content, _____ Content and _____Content I think we should get more of it!

(Like)Over 9000

With: Hey guys I want more ____ Content, _____ Content and _____Content I think we should get more of it!

• I think we need more ____ Content before the others: 200
• I think we need more ____ Content before the others: 150
• I think we need more ____ Content before the others: 260

Does anyone else think that flipping the authority switch to let us make polls would be nothing but a good thing?

They may add poll functionality when they officially open the forums this Tuesday/Wednesday.

Hmm true I forgot about this. But there are no mentions of any new features beyond the 30 day limitation.

Ok seriously once again we are still sitting on our thumbs forced to either give likes to "Poll spamers" or not vote at all.

Will we ever get the poll function that this forum can implement so easilly hell it's part of the code allready because Mods can make polls whenever they feel like it. I'd like to be able to make a idea post and get votes on multiple outcomes other than "Yes" or "No"

I completely support bringing out player polls if they're responsibly used. I'm surprised SE hasn't bitten yet, really. They could just open a list of ongoing polls and choose to follow some and remove others from their list. "Yeah, we can use this info... this might help us... this one's out, totally ridiculous..." etc.

That said, proofread your OP, mang! A little aesthetic boost and some typo-fixes and you'll be golden!

I made like two whole spelling errors... If I decide to push this thread some more though I'll probably indulge formating it a bit better as well. I really should look up the Dev post that contained the poll as well, I remember it was the one about Yoshi's Avatar choice.

There's a Website Feedback section where you might want to push this through. Not sure if that's the right place for feedback regarding Forum feature requests, but I'm thinking that might be the best place?

It'd probably at least be more organized...maybe. I would think the chaos would die down after those who have confirmed to quit once the subscription fees are implemented won't be loitering on the forums anymore.
