Why legal rmt isn't that bad

I see to many people complaining about the cons, so I wanted to list some pro's.

    1. Allows those who don't have the money/payment option to get platinum wedding to buy it with in-game currency which they CAN get.
    2. SE gets their 40$ for a marriage regardless if it was the original buyer.
    3. Player generated currency is in circulation, not illegal rmt gil.
    4. Less business for illegal rmt(if people could pay for illegal rmt gil to then buy cash shop items from another player they might as well buy the cash shop item themselves.)
    5. Gil has some actual use. (There are plenty of people sitting on millions of gil not knowing what to spend it on.)
    6. Freedom of choice on how to get the cash shop items instead of it being real money exclusive.

Those are some benefits I can think of at the moment.

Here is an example without legal rmt:

Player A has a nice paying job, but doesn't have much time to play and farm gil. He wishes to buy a house but can't.
Player B is a student/unemployed living in mom's basement/poor, but has way to much time to play and farm gil. He wants to get married to his G.I.R.L. waifu using the highest tier ceremony but can't.

Here is an example with legal rmt:

Player A buys platinum wedding bands and sells them to player B. Player A can now make gil to buy a house! Player A is happy.
Player B spends some of his useless gil on Player A's wedding bands. Player B can now get married to his G.I.R.L waifu using the highest tier ceremony and enjoy some delusional happiness.

RMT is RMT even if one is legal. SE fucked up when they made shit tradable/dyable for other people. I've never been for against the cash shop but posts like this just wow. It does provide some form of benefit for those who are willing to pay for a wedding as they can sell those bracelets for what they go for per server and they can just buy X craftable item that's over a mil that they otherwise wouldn't because they were too lazy to level crafting, do beastmen dailies for sealants to sell or whatever. I haven't seen bracelets really go for sale on my server but dyes I've seen even if only for 50k per last time I checked. The wedding was to be some event for couples but out of all the ones I know of from my old fc/current fc only 1 has been legit others have been just for the dress and quite possibly bracelets to sell. That emergency patch I was hoping SE would have fixed this shit but that wasn't the case.

Yoshi promised "no pay to win" we get legal (meaning not against ToS) indirect RMT. RMT, indirect or not, is by definition "pay to win"

Another broken promise, that's the underlying issue.

Honestly I don't think they really expected this to happen. On Tonberry when I check the pf I've seen 1 maybe 2 things saying they were selling bracelets and the one for sure was from an English player. My guess is they expected people to have more integrity than they really do. Instead we have people signing up for the marriages just to make some quick gil. Dyes aren't really worth jack already for the cost to willing to pay ratio so those have died out for the most part.

I once saw someone say roughly: I would rather think them ignorant then malicious, but that doesn't bode well either. (Not an exact quote but the meaning is intact)

Cons: Overpriced items in MB because the highly demanded and low supplied cheap ones already got sold, and people would rather sell them expensive seeing that they actually sell. You wanted that cute glamour and you're working hard to earn gil to buy it? too bad, someone will swing the credit card so he can get gil way faster than farmers, and buy the item you wanted to before you can even save up enough to buy it. That's inflation for you, where your wallet controls in game market. The glamour reference is just an expample, could be with anything. That's only gonna encourage people to buy even more gil to be able to afford high prices. Also, gil will lose its value because it's just changing hands after being generated. Currency will eventuall start losing its value, and what you can buy now for an easily farmed 100k, you'll need a few millions. Already seen this happen before in a few games.
