No holiday tree?

Gotta say that I am really disappointed for this years Starlight event. I was looking forward to possibly having a holiday tree to put inside or outside my FC's house. Doesnt make too much sense where they are giving presents, a snowman and even wreath yet no tree? guess ill end up stacking the presents in a corner under the wreath.

There is a cool snowman and wreath.. But yea my girlfriend really wanted one for her house.. Maybe one is still there...
I hope they dont put one in the cash shop.. I cant even imagine.

There are actually tree furnishings in the newly added .dats. Whether we can actually get them is another thing.

Weird thing is, if you look at XIVDB you see that the trees were meant to be obtained by turning in fallen stars obtainable during the event. However on the official event site there are no signs of the trees. So if they put it in cash shop now it is clear they cut it from the game to just make an extra few bucks.

XIVDB parses the dats deeper than what SE's site does because SE doesn't want to throw in "spoilers", the people who run XIVDB doesn't care. Fyi, if it were to be in the cash shop it would have been added in the 2.45 update to the mog station.

Until now ALL events had listed ALL items you could obtain when the event page went online. So that point is not really valid. Like I said, if they add it to the cash shop it is going to be really clear they cut it from the game (since XIVDB clearly shows it was inteded to be a part of the event). That is where I, someone that actually supports the cash shop, draw the line.

As long as we have people still defending ALL the choices Square Enix makes and as long as we have people that keep shouting "it is optional anyway" they will keep abusing the system.
