Question, still not sure where to put this

I made this exact post yesterday on my server's forum because I wasn't really sure where to ask this and submitting tickets in-game or through the email support seems to be getting me absolutely nowhere.

I'm wondering about something that is a big deal (for the moment at least) in the context of the "one-time item return" policy that SE offers. I took a break from the game and came back without a group to run end-game content. I bought the tank poetics chest piece, but I was recruited in as a caster DPS.

After this happened, I submitted a ticket (and I have submitted it once a week only to get the exact same copy-paste reply every time) to have it swapped.

What I'm wondering is why does exchanging an item count as an item return? You aren't trying to get something for nothing, you are agreeing to drop and destroy one item to have it replaced with another.

As i understand yes it does but you have to see what a dev or GM tell you on there policy. I know sometimes they allow you to do it again in FFXI It may be the same in FFXIV but overall i would just say wait two weeks and get the body you want. Because in 4-5months the pack coming out with new gear and this one would not matter much.

I myself would not waste it on something like poetic gear but if you want too i would say make a ticket then do a live chat with them. To see what they tell you.
