Damn, so we really got the short end of the stick out of the melee dps. Atlas that's what it seems like.

Reading that makes me glad that I decided to switch back to Monk as I feared that would happen.
I really do hope they don't turn Ninja into the 2.0 Dragoon of this expansion though.

Yea, I may have to switch back to drg of nin isn't competitive with mnk and drg.
Which saddens me, since I love nin, but nothing is more fustrating to me than playing your favorite class and being passed over because what you like isn't as good as the other two.
Well, if you enjoy having, potentially, the highest skillcap out of all Jobs in 3.0 by the sounds of it, Dragoon welcomes you.
Because DRG and MNK will die otherwise :v!!
They need us to help them survive their deeps!!!
Yea, not very happy myself with the things right now, but Im just lvl 51, will have to get to 60 before I can say anything really definite. More than being positive I just want to deceive myself into having hope...

Problem solved

Well, I was being sarcastic there, but meh.
Yea, I want to see how these skills are supposed to shine... I get it that at the end of ARR I just couldn't go with my NIN to anything but WoD or EX roulettes because 95% of the Tanks outside of those would lose threat to me. And even in the EX and WoD NIN DPS was pretty insane... and there were more than a few situations in which I wished to have these skills already. Even had to micromanage the Venoms because the DPS from the NIN is remarkably high from the get-go.
So I get how its that for ARR but right now my outlook of HW is rather blurry.
All I can see, right now, is that MNK and DRG (and even BRD, BLM and SMN) have quite the burst that could make things a bit unstable for the Tank, and they gave, or rather pushed onto, the NIN the possibility to support them. After all, NIN's slashing debuff already boosts all the Tank's DPS, and maybe Goad was designed with Tanking support in mind.
But the main reason as of why I think they implemented these on the NIN is because unlike MNK and DRG, NIN can start the fight with a 20% more damage and 15% faster attack from the get-go, and that it resulted in troubling the Tanks.
