With the escalation of exclusive cash shop items and with the arrangement of the way things are going; I feel compelled to make my own thread on some of the same topics already in existence. Why make yet another thread? I feel the need to necessitate the importance of voicing your opinion. The more people showing their opinion in more threads makes it harder to ignore the issues at hand.

1) We are already paying a subscription; why are you charging us even more?

2) You condemn R.M.T yet you basically are doing the same thing with items. (Eternal bond, dyes- you can trade someone an item and they'll dye it for you)

3) We've yet to hear a response on the cash shop as of late; I for one suggest it to attempt to cleanse some of the distaste from our mouths.

4) I've always noticed controversial topics never make it to the 'popular threads' on the forum main page.. is this censorship intentional?

5) What direction are you taking the cash shop into for the future? Are you going to charge us for mini-games in Gold Saucer? The card game you are releasing; are you going to have exclusive cash shop cards too? You owe your customers transparency on the direction the game is going.

Feel free to respond here or just make your own thread. All that matters is that you voice your opinion to the point where they can't ignore it. Thank you for your understanding everyone and lets get some answers!

Even if they went in the cash shop direction, Its not going to keep me from playing... Hell if it went pay to win, I would keep playing. Other players paying their way to victory doesn't really bother me. Saying that, I am curious for SE to tell us what the plans are..

I don't remember SE ever stating that they condone RMT....

1. It's what business do, they are in business to make money, they are not a non-profit organization. Also, because people will spend the money. If no one bought any of the stuff then the cash shop would probably be closed, but people like spending money. Actually that's what money is for, to be spent.

2. They aren't doing anything, the community is.

4. Probably, its their website they can do as they wish.

accept and allow (behavior that is considered morally wrong or offensive) ..they are allowing morally wrong behavior.

1) Common in alot of MMO, even if it is just appearance change, server xfer, name change - you are all paying for more
2) I don't think condone means what you think it means - you're looking for the word condemn
3) What are you expecting them to say

Yeah that's what I am looking for Chihaya. Also just cause its the normal nowadays to do it doesn't mean its the right or correct thing to do.

I agree. Ever since the out of left field Fanfest Cash Shop announcement I've been very hesitant with the direction the game is going. Eternal Bond was a long awaited hype "thing" that was relegated to Cash Shop, let's be honest people were doing it for the unique personal mount (it was shown/announced long before the recruit-a-friend one) and various other things expected for the system..the "free" version is a joke considering subscriptions went into designing this system. Having to pay more for promised items is a huge slap in the face, this coming from a guy who doesn't even use the vanity system, uses any mount other than chocobo, or really all that into minions...but for me it's a principle thing.

However a thing I have been looking forward to is Gold Saucer and with the way things are headed it's going to have so much locked behind the ca$h shop that I can't even look forward to it anymore. A little more transparency, heck any transparency, would go a long way.

If I remember correctly, now I may be wrong here, but Yoshi-P and company went on record to say that in order for them to address servers and other IP related things that by implementing a cash shop via Log Station, that they would be able fund internally those said things. And another thing, if you have a problem with the cash shop then think with your wallet and don't buy anything.

Definitely the wallet speaks the loudest but I feel like its essentially the same as politics and I have to do my part in raising awareness.
