Personally I think comparing a video game economy to real life is genius, although there really isn't much of an auto market, health care industry or housing market.do you think there would be an auto market if you could go off and just go to a place that gives away free cars? no, you would just go get a free car. you would never buy one if you could get something better for free. why buy a ford when you can go get a mercedes given to you at no cost?
do you think there would be a health care system if you got free treatment given to everyone? you would never go pay a doctor or pay for meds if you were given them for free without any drawbacks.
do you think the housing market would exist if you could pick out the your dream home and then go get another that is even better for free? no you would take the upgrade you got for free.
you use these examples of doing everything yourself, but why not go and pull up your server and tell me how many have every craft to cap in it. there's not going to be many. the truth is no matter how many can make anything you are not going to sell anything if they can get a better item for free. that is in real or a game economy.
how can you figure a weapon and gear that is as good if not better than anything made for mid and high range for all battle classes is only a few items?
Oh, wait, I take back the genius comment.
