Question about Personal/FC housing

I'm wondering if i can get a few facts of which i'm not sure.

I do have my own Free Company house which i purchased a long time ago. currently i am the only member in my FC and i planned it out that way from the beginning (although i wouldn't be opposed to anyone joining at this point, it would be nice to have some help).

what exactly are the differences between FC and personal housing? in personal housing, do you get the extra storage space like you do with a FC house? i'm guessing you can't do any FC actions or get a FC tag over your head, design a crest, etc.

because what i've been doing (and maybe others can do this as well if interested) is creating new characters and having them join my FC. recently one of my characters gained the ability to get their own retainers. now although it might be a little time consuming, this effectively gives me the ability to have almost as many retainers and storage space as i want (at least having up to 8 characters, so 16 retainers). i can use the FC chest to move items between characters.

it seems like a pretty good idea and i dont have to pay for extra retainer services. i'm just wondering if this is only an option for FC housing because of the storage chest, or does a personal house also get this extra storage?

If you already have an FC house, it's exactly the same except you don't need to be in an FC to own it. That's it, that's all there is.

Neither personal nor FC housing offers additional storage of any kind.

The FC housing has the extra door to "personal spaces." That is all that FC housing has for now.

Also in an FC house you could set permissions for others (like decorating, use stables, etc).
In a personal house only you can use these

i would like to know what happens if you place a FC chest in a personal house if you are not in a FC.

I have a personal house and the FC has a house so when i place the chest in my house it just gives me access to the FCs stuff but what if there is no FC?

that might be the only extra storage possible for a personal house.
