When you play a SUB based game - you expect to be able to get everything via effort.
The ability for someone to pay money in order to get gil has always been frowned on - but yet people are now saying thats fine as it's their own real money and they are selling an item to a player ect

It's slightly better than RMT sure but... it's still paying for an advantage which I do not think SE was aiming for. I think the wristlets were tradable to allow you to give them to your partners - I don't think they actually thought on players selling them for crazy amount of gil...

I suppose things may level out though once people have purchased all the houses/expensive MB items that they require
