Annyway yeah i think Tanks obsessive need to be rewarded to do anything is kind of annoying. His majesty gets a mount for his troubles while everyone else gets nothing. Healers often deserve equal praise to the Tank if not more for saving a run and they get nothing except personal pride. I guess since they don't deem the Healer supply to be as low they don't deserve a mount.

Yes I did.

And the achievement reward is given out to tanks because there is a lack of tanks overall in the game(and the community is part of it - I've had some bad experiences myself but heard a lot from others as well).
A mount was an interesting idea but players being players will just farm the 200 runs and then stop doing so. And no more tanks again. It doesn't really help things in the end. What would help is reducing some of the grind or removing some of the locks on the grind(i.e. not needing to be specific job with a specific weapon).
What I'm saying is make it easier for us to do our personal stuff(like animus, nexus, etc....) in some way and more people might want to try other things. Novus was fine since you could do both the drex and the map without needing your animus weapon equiped.

Before nexus and with novus I actually queued up in all DRs as a tank or healer - since the nexus light grind... I go I could go tank but I want the light so will go dps... and that's one less tank to go around to help people(and same for animus - I could go healer but need to do that thing with my atma weapon to count for it).

Don't lock the grind or reduce it to something more manageable and maybe more people will do a run as something else.

And WHM already gets a mount. If anything SCH deserves one as well I agree on that. But then all the DPS will want one as well because you know... any run will end badly if there is a) bad tanking b) bad healing c) bad dps

Agreed. There's already enough of that, "I'm better than everyone else because I'm a tank," mentatlity in this game. We really don't need more of a reason for inflated egos.

Basically yes, these mounts were only created to encourage more players to tank as a way to fill out a role in need. Will be interesting to see if they make a Dark Knight mount just to be fair since Warrior and Paladin have one. I expect DRK will be popular enough anyway just because it's a 'cool' job like dragoon and ninja.

I will do Dark Knight simply because my Father was one before he became a Paladin... LOL.
