    Big pulls in Toto Rak

I had a run today and we were making pretty big pulls in Toto Rak (lvl 24 dungeon) I'm a level 27 Whm but I had a pretty hard time keeping up on the heals (wiped twice) anyone else have problems keeping everyone esuna'd and healed at early levels on big pulls?

How big of pulls are we talking about here? To my knowledge that was not a dungeon that was easy to speed run and doing so could cause some trouble. The biggest problem with pulling multiple groups there is that in most cases the groups are long distance apart meaning that the tank is taking a good bit of damage in the run between groups that you can't heal immediately.

In low level there shouldn't be any problem healing unless something is being done wrong so to me this sounds like a tanking problem rather than a healing problem. A tank should never be pushing the healer past what they can handle. If the tank didn't realize after the first wipe you couldn't handle what he was pulling he should have slowed down and pulled less.

In regards to the size of the pulls, they were normally two groups at at time, I think a few times we might've pulled three groups. DPS was an arcanist and a lancer I think so we weren't exactly pumping out the big numbers. The arcanist helped out with a few physicks here and there so he won my comm.

This is something I’ve seen recently in daily roulette. Looks like a new trend. One time I was on SCH I was thinking this would suck for a legit beginner / low level healer. As in, the 1st pull was to the 1st green item pickup. 2nd pull was from that pickup to 1st left room all the way down to end of the corridor. These where 3 to 4 pulls for me. The finalish pulls past the spiders webs to the tight left spilt where horrid as well. The amount of time it took DPS to kill the pill up kinda made it pointless. No real time progress killing 10+ mobs.

In low level that seems like a weird trend to see as well. Most DPS classes won't have a lot of their AOE abilities so how are they expected to take care of such large groups? On top of that it really hurts healers since they don't have access to a lot of their good abilities, and in the case of newer healers won't be used to using the whatever cooldowns they may have. I don't know why a lot of tanks are so focused on getting things done as quickly as possible. It isn't just in low level roulette either it happens in other stuff as well. So I don't know if it is just a bunch of tanks who don't understand that they aren't the center of the universe, or if it is just a bunch of tanks who never learned that you need to give the other players a chance get ready for the fight. Either way I think there needs to be a discussion about this in the Tank Roles forum to see if what the hell is going on.

I've seen it done multiple times and I'm frankly OK with it because that dungeon is long as hell and just far too boring. It is easy to heal through big pulls in it (at least in my experience), but if you are uncomfortable with it just say as much, you shouldn't be forced to do something you don't like or feel uncomfortable with.

What I've been noticing is that tanks take advantage of the fact that Eos is broken in low-level dungeons (she only scales down to level 30), making huge pulls a breeze. They forget that CNJ suffers heavily at low levels, having access to 1-2 heal spells with low MP pool and no buffs/debuffs to work with (every heal is restricted to the GCD). A tank with common sense would first judge what type/how geared the healer and DPS are before pulling 20+ mobs.

I'm all for speed but why would you do this in low level with a lancer and arcanist as dps?
Lancer can only do singletarget DPS.
Only the arcanist can spread his dots, but that is not really AoE damage to justifty big pulls.

    Your tank was a moron.

When I get in a low level duty I look at my DD and consider the levels before I do any big pulls on my tank. From healing we have basically the same heals

Give a man a fish and he'll be fed for a day. Teach a man to fish and he'll promptly forget that he once didn't know and proceed to call anyone who asks a n00b and flame them on the boards for being stupid.
