Does battle voice affect any song that is up or only songs sang after its put up..

Basically, should i use it BEFORE i sing or AFTER to save seconds?

From my understanding it needs to be used before the song. Someone feel free to correct me if I've been using it incorrectly.

You can and should use it after. Otherwise you're wasting 3 seconds of BV up time.

You can pop it anytime after a song is sung. Just make sure that you have enough MP to make use of all 30 seconds of the boost.

Paeon + Voice is great for bringing your party's TP back up, along with Ballad being great for restoring MP when your healers need the resource after reviving a couple of players. Reqiuem + Voice is great for a party with strong casters, and can be great for pushing phases as long as your party is not in trouble with MP/TP management.

If anything, a Battle Voiced song does not affect the BRD singing it. With Paeon, a BRD would have to play it for 15s longer since they do not receive the boost from the song buff. Again, Battle Voiced songs do not affect the BRD singing the song with their cooldown active.

I recently kinda raged on an FC mate using BV before he sang. but after talking to him abit more about it i can understand where the confusion came from.
Always use it once the song is already being sung, youre wasting seconds otherwise.

thanks for all the replies.. i thought it might be that way but wasn't sure because the description is so vague

Doubles the effectiveness of all songs. Does not work with Swiftsong.
that to me says "all songs sung" cos after the animation youre technically not singing, (on screen anyway, lore wise you probably would still be singing)

but it also says "all songs" confusing..

thanks for clearing it up though

just a follow up question in regards to singing songs: should I use my cooldowns while singing(paeon/mage)? or should I wait when the song is not needed?

both are dps losses but trying to figure out the math which is least.
