    Wedding Blues

I found the perfect solution for this issue; Platinum and Gold players get the perks upfront because they paid. Regulars players get the rewards overtime like Veteran rewards, ensuring they stay married.

Side Note; People fail to realize this is a player funded game and I am pretty sure our subs don't cover everything Yoshi-P needs to implement everything they want in game along with costs of keeping the game running. People are also confusing Paying to Win with Paying for Convenience which is the devs fault for not clearly thinking through the cash shop. They need to have a contingency plan for budget players.

This Wedding business is pay for convenience because you still get the wedding you just don't get minions or mounts. No matter how much Gil you accumulate or craft armor you purchase selling the bands you STILL can't power your way through endgame content FCoB with out skill. So until then, I'm waiting for someone to actually explain to me how this is pay to win.

I think the wedding being said as pay to win is because you can buy the bands with real money sell them in the game for gil then use said gil to "power your way through content" by paying to be carried through said content but idk and idc I bought my platinum wedding and while I disagree with the cash shop I will simply laugh once raid gear is put in there its just vanity after all its not NEEDED.

Thing is you can't buy your way through FcoB especially with the loot rules intact which is still a deterrent. Not yet without echo anyways. Again I chalk that up to SE not planning well.

Usually about 6-8 weeks into the patch at least on my server groups start selling turns so give it another week or 2

Then why not just put the BIS gear on the cash shop? I mean they'll still suck so its not pay to win right?

Pay to win is not about clearing content. It's about winning over another player.

Say an item you want to buy is on the MB. It's listed for 10 million gil. You have 8m that you worked hard to obtain. Another person has 10m that they got from selling these wedding items. Who wins the item?

This is paying to win. They bypassed the hard work of accumulating gil by throwing real money at the game.

The winner is the seller, they don't care where the gil came from. :P

I can agree to an extent but look at this way; The player who has 8 mil from Game Time is against a player who works and has less game time. They are technically not winning over the player with time but playing catch up which again correlates to convenience.

So you are saying SE should cater to people who want to pay less and play more versus people who can afford to pay more but play less. There will never be total equality in any MMO, and I think this isn't as evil as people make it out to be BUT again I do agree SE
    should have handled this better.

There is absolutely no way that any player can keep up with the amount of gil you can make by selling real money items. A person who plays more should not be able to fall far behind a person who is willing to shell out more money. Someone willing to do it could make 200m+ gil over the course of this next week by selling in-game cash shop items. You can't keep up with that.

Making Gil and Buying Gil are totally different.

They are legally purchasing a wedding item for everyone to buy its not like its locked away from you and you can be making Gil like anyone else who is doing this.

So basically because you are upset people are making a profit, how does this effect your game play?

I am just wondering please answer the question > How does it effect you from beating content in the game? Remember legacy players had up to 200+mil Gil I don't think it effected anyone.

Don't dodge the question or make up excuses either.
