Myth Message being used to excluded players

I'm sure I'm not the only person sick of this, but it is getting nearly impossible to get a party to clear old content (and even some newer content) if you didn't get clear with in the first two weeks of that content being released.

Everyone is using the Myth message (Soldiery now) to find out who's new, and if you haven't cleared, your gone. It doesn't even matter how far you've gotten into a fight. It has become so that think that 'No clear' equals 'No good" when that isn't the case. How are you to clear something if only those who have cleared it can join groups for it?

The Myth Message was suppose to encourage people to help others clear content, but instead it is being used to keep those who need clear from doing said content. Frankly, the message at the start of dungeons/raids/trials needs to be removed so that people aren't getting singled out, and instead only say at the end of a dungeon you are being rewarded with a bonus for helping someone with clear.

It works the other way for me,when people see the Soldiery message I see alot of 'Yes, YAY" etc. Its true that this message might encourage players to exclude others from doing a dungeon with them, but this same message might also be a incentive for those that want to farm the Soldiery to stay and finish the dungeon with this newcomer.

I love doing old content and seeing the bonus soldiery message. As long as the person isn't a complete moron we usually pull through no problem.

In dungeons and Hard primals I'm always happy about new people for free bonus rewards, but in Extreme primals it's a much less welcome sight.

I agree, BUT I do believe in giving the newbie some credit that they've actually looked at a guide and need the fight xp. I despise people who see the myth/soldiery message and flee. If you want a complete kill run, DO NOT USE DF, rather form a party in PF with the comments "Please have kill exp."

I cannot count many times I've joined moogle ex on DF and I got called a noob as healer on my first several runs (same team), but for shits and giggles this one was the straw that broke the camels back: The big bad tank "that supposedly had kill exp" died, due to his own idiocy of not swapping at three stacks. I admit that I forgot about the charm spell from the tank moogle that makes folks march to the green poo in the first run, because I did not know what the icon looked like to dispell, but as for the mechanics of the fight, I knew them enough to keep out of the middle while healing and which moogle to stay away from.

tl;dr: Don't use DF if you want to kill ex w/o first timers in it. Furthermore, don't use DF for Moogle ex ever!

If there wasn't a message, the party leader would just check your achievements for the win. What you're saying is "Myth Message being used to bust players who are trying to cheat their way into farm parties". If there aren't parties for learning or first win in party finder, why not form one yourself, with your own entry requirements.

Yeah i'm happy for free soldiery in Hard mode primals, dungeons and Syrcus tower where it doesn't matter if they know the fight or not because it's not going to affect the clear. Get that message in T5 or any extreme primal and it can greatly affect your chances of clearing the content especially if it is a tank or healer. Although it is not indicative of a bad player it increases the chances simply because someone without the message should know all the mechanics to of cleared it previously.

If people want a farm party then obviously they only want people who have cleared it. The blame is on you if you try to sneak in for a kill.

Obviously if that person is sticking up for the behavior, they're probably familiar with that aspect of it. Tbh we'd need to know more about the circumstances around OP being singled out and kicked before making an assumption either way. If it happened in a DF party or was otherwise never specified that it was not a learning party then yeah, they're asses. If it happened in a PF farm party then it kind of is the OP's fault.

What happen is I'll joined a party T7 in PF which doesn't say that it is a farm, I'll tell them I have made it to the last part of the fight, but just haven't gotten clear, and be kicked. If I say nothing they will find out via myth message. I know the fight down pat and my gear is ilv110. There just isn't anyone doing it anymore that will have people who haven't cleared. I quit the game for a few months when Second Coil was introduced, so I didn't get clear when content is new. So it really has nothing to do with me being deceiving or not knowing fight. I just want to clear the dang thing so I can farm it without people kicking me.

*edit* Also the Shiva EX fight has been out for only two weeks and people won't take anyone who hasn't clear anymore on my server which is complete bull...
