So scholars can ask for stoneskin II and white mages cannot ask for succor? Some bias argument you have there. They can make it a weaker succor that cannot be used in combat. Same thing isn't it?

And let just say they DO give SS2 to scholars.

Ideal situation for damage mitigation: 1 WHM + 1 SCH = Succor (with chances of crits) + 18% stoneskin on the entire pt.
2 SCH = Succor (with chances of having crits) + 10% stoneskin on the entire pt.
Then what about 2 WHM? only that 18% stoneskin on the entire pt. I seriously don't think that is fair to WHM

Do you even know how long succor lasts? 30 SECONDS. I don't know ANY FIGHT where enough DPS take damage within 20 seconds of the fight beginning (Because let's be honest, it takes 10 seconds for the tank to see succor has gone down and then to actually pull the boss) for succor to even be worth it.

So you want Succor for one fight? Pretty sure SCH getting AoE stoneskin out of battle isn't the equivalent of that in terms of usefulness but if you want to pretend that it is..

That's not the problem. Conjurers wish they had Scholar's utility. It's heck and a handbasket to keep people healed up when you've got a ton of AoE going on, like Titan's compounding rage stomps. Stoneskin II would have been so nice against that, but we can't use it in battle so /shrug. Scholars, though, can Succor through that and brush it off like a bad dream. Yet... you want Stoneskin II, with it's limited utility, because... why? I don't get it, you have a superior ability in Succor. Cast it whenever you want, as often as your MP will allow... but feel shortchanged because Stoneskin II isn't cross-class. Our third party buff to your grocery list of party buffs...

Have you COMPLETELY missed the last few pages of discussion? Because changes nothing between the classes IN BATTLE. I don't even bloody understand how succor is getting dragged into this discussion besides the fact that it has a shield. It's also our only IN BATTLE AoE heal skill while WHMs already have a total of THREE AoE in battle heal skills. How many AoE heals do WHMs need before enough is enough. We're asking for an OUT OF BATTLE SHIELD. Also which part of SUCCOR STACKS WITH SS is hard to understand?

Maybe the part where SE GAVE US SS TO CROSS CLASS in the first place. If SE didn't intend for us to use SS, then maybe they shouldn't have given us this highly useful skill at all?
