Some of the posts in here have been severely lacking in intelligence. This thread is about what is bugged about this game under Windows.. via mention of running it under a different OS. Some of you need to go back to school.

I didnt wanna start the usual mac Vs windows arguments, but some people were saying how apparently mac is better than windows, so I replied to that.
The problem is not bugs in the windows client because the op is using the windows client, the problem is windows aero which is huge overhead on resources which is no needed, take windows server 2008, it uses the old gray theme, server admins have been complaining since the first GUI based servers that the GUI is uneccecery overhead so they slim server GUIs down as much as possible, even going as far as making a command line version of server 2008 which has no overhead.
If a greyscale GUI is too much of an overhead for powerful servers, normally much more powerful than a normal gaming rig, what do you think windows aero is doing to gaming rigs? You can turn windows aero off, you can even disable desktop composition so aero is only off when you run specific applications so when you arent using them you can still use aero if you want to.
Again the problem is not the client it is the high requirements of windows 7 which need to be run on top of the demanding games.
@op use bootcamp again and turn aero off and you WILL notice a differance most people can double settings and see no lag, the problem isnt the client because it is the exact same client, wine still uses Dx to render graphics or the game would not work because it is programmed to use Dx nothing else. Check the requirements for mac and windows 7 and you will see a huge differance.

You should start 5 threads complaining about it.
