Important - Restrictions after Eternal Bonding?

I haven't seen this information anywhere, so I apologize if it's been stated before.

But, here's my question/dilemma. I want to do the Platinum eternal bonding to get the vanity items. However, I'm planning on just finding some random person in my FC or on my friend list.

So, my questions are as follows. If you do this and complete the ceremony, are you bound to be in the same FC as your partner? Are you free to change servers if your partner remains on your current server? Is there a way to dissolve the bond after you do it?

you can annul the bond at any time I believe I read and no you are not locked into anything with that person. However changing servers and/or annuling the bond I can not say what would happen to the vanity items from it.

The only thing that binds you are the rings. Separating is as easy as tossing them away.

Based on another thread, I read you get all the vanity items right away on a quest you can do solo BEFORE you start the rest of the quest that requires a partner. Can anyone confirm this?

You must have your partner present when talking to the quest NPC, thus you must have someone with you to obtain your gear.

Oh ok. Well, I'm wondering if you can purchase the plans (Platinum), start the quest and get the vanity items, but not actually complete the ceremony? LOL, just thinking of ways to make it interesting.

You only get the dress, hairstyle, and emote before the ceremony. The chocobo and cake come after. The minion as well.
