Thread: I'm sure it has been said many time before.... but...

Moments ago, during my first Praetorium run, I was met with a delicious mix of:


Coming out of a CS to miles of empty dungeon and not knowing where the hell to go,
Sitting infront of a locked out boss fight whilst 4 - 5 people did it on their own,
Being told to "watch CS in the inn".


In my most humble of opinions: Either separate them from first timers or give them 50 extra tomes if they wait for all cut scenes to end before moving on to the next battle.

There is a significant ADHD population (not everyone) in this game who just want to skip mobs, skip CS, and generally ruin the whole experience for everybody but themselves.

SE please be more aware of the intellectual / empathic shortcomings suffered by this portion of the player-base, and put mechanics in place to cater to their greed / selfishness.

I look forward to being told about Party Finder, and how I am the one who needs to change.

After you run it 3284372942389 times, you'd want to skip everything too. I've never rushed anyone watching CS but I will keep going.

The thing is that in the first place, in my opinion, they shoud not have created dungeons with cutscenes in the middle. They provoke those problems, and sometimes they are even dangerous for the group if they pop up in the middle of a fight

As I said, I don't think it's your fault. SE implemented this to make people like you more inclined to help people like me. Except you give in to your need for tomes and use the excuse of repetition.

If repetition is that painful to you, why play an MMO at all? Takes nothing to wait a few moments for people watching cut scenes. Even if you do have to do it every time.

I did that and even with /shout I had one person join the group before the 60 minute timer ran out.

Well that sucks you got stuck in the DF with jerks, I see the same attitude quite a few times when I decide to run a random story roulette although there is one thing that I do. I stick up for the first timers in the group and pretty much play verbal mind games with said jerks and usually turn the whole group against them in a matter of seconds, usually ending up with them being vote kicked for harassment.

In defense of all the newbies running through their story it's a person's first time and they deserve to watch the cinematics, there is something called alt+tab which works wonders with open internet browser and access favourite comedy site to do while you wait for those watching their cinematics of an amazing storyline.

If you put in the "story focused not skipping cutscenes" and also put that you were watching all CS in party finder and they still complain just be like hey that was stated in PF and their fault for joining knowing how it was going to go.

I agree with elvin that there should not be story cutscenes during a dungeon. We are expected to play dungeons many dozens or hundreds of times to accumulate the rewards, but it is unreasonable to watch the same story sequences that many times. The very first time I played the dungeons I had the foresight to skip the cutscenes and watch them after exiting the dungeon to not keep people waiting.

Hello, Hotfoot. Sorry to see you quit the dungeon, but I do understand why you did and I was on the verge to quit too. the tank argued/fought with the new tank that joined, and it became rather childish. But let's forget about that.

I sincerely hope you get to watch all the cutscenes AND fight all the bosses the next time you enter Praetorium.

I'm all for watching CS.....when they are good and worth watching. Prae has decent ones, but then they have CM.

I truly believe CM is the reason for all the problems with ppl watching CS. Did I really need a CS of every single search light turning off? It is just unbelievably ridiculous how many garbage, not-worth-watching CS there is in CM. Personally, I didn't see the problem with just going to the Inn to watch mine. I would rather not be left out of parts of dungeon then purposely watch CS that I know I can re-watch. But that's just me.

And CM has the dumbest CS I've ever seen in anything.
