    It's just a formality left over from older times. If someone actually raised objections at the "speak now or forever hold your peace" part, it would be seen as grossly inappropriate.

    Sounds good. If someone objects to an Eternal Bond, they can buy the right to speak up in the cash shop. After that, a bidding war starts, and whoever pays more cash gets their way - if the couple wins they can get married, if the objector wins, the Eternal Bond is cancelled and the couple has to go buy new bracelets in the mogstation.
