Make this game a open world sandbox mmorpg

Sandbox style rpg is the most popular form of the rpg mainly because players create their own character have tons of customization, impact the world and the stories are non-linear.
Sandbox style fits perfectly with MMORPG's because players can impact the virtual world like in real life. It allows for tons of customization and flexibility with the player character instead of the static choices we have now and it's fun.

You want them to hop on a bandwagon with other games that are like that just because it's 'popular'? And if every little thing that everyone can do impacts the world, there would be constant changing everywhere and whatnot. I can see open world being perfect for solo player games, but with an MMO RPG like this? No thanks.

Plus they scrapped 1.0 and will be moving onto their first expansion in the spring (Aka 3.X), so you're pretty late in suggesting this with any hope to get it to change.

It's not happening Akiza. This game will never be Second Life with a FF skin which is what you seem to want, no matter how many threads you make. The game's current design is sound, and they can build off of that, but they will never change the fundamental aspects of the game which is why 1.0 was scrapped and replaced with ARR in the first place. Accept that and move on.

FFXIV is and will remain incompatible with the 'pure' sandbox motif.

Let's wait until everquest next hits before we go about asking for that. There are plenty of games that offer a sandbox feel, but the only MMO game that i can think of that truly lives up to the sandbox genre is EVE

Most of those MMO's calling themselves Sandbox are themepark MMORPG's with a sandbox environment.

It's too difficult to make this a sandbox MMO. As much as I want it to be I know it will never become sandbox.

Elder Scrolls Online is open world theme park. It has a good concept but poorly executed.
