How is your new zodiak drop rates so far?

I honestly feel that for quests like these they should put in a set limit of runs you need to do and then you just get the item. No reason somebody should have to run one place 30+ times, I have had that happen on two dungeons so far.

There should be a counter on the quest, say around twenty, do that many runs of the dungeon and you are guaranteed to get the item once you hit that mark if you haven't gotten it already. Least then people would feel like they have some control in the matter, having to do 300+ dungeons is still a lot of grinding if your unlucky but at least you will know your getting somewhere.

@Parodine, just to confirmed, you can get dropped while lvling a job that's not 50 as long as you have the quest and the selected dungeon active.

While farming for Excalibur + Aegis, I was on BRD for lights that went from 50ish to 600 lights. 16/90 dungeons. 500 more Sol to finished off that last water... damn you maint!!!

Yes! I'm going to do those quests again lol and by the time I get another 16 I should be done with the lights for the bow. pew pew

I appreciate the confirmation! I was worried my efforts were for naught. Unfortunately I'm 0/13 on DD and literally leveled my NIN from 44-50 on it XD I'm taking a break, gonna do some of the other dungeons.

In the end it merely took me 65 attempts on all 16 different dungeons to gather the items which seems to be a very lucky case.

Also, I have all 3 Star Items ready for turn-in. All that is left now is the soldiery stone part - still 1,950 stones to go.

The strat farmed is of course without first time bonuses. Considering I already started with 2500 strat (still had my 2000 myth points) I never had to bother farming them.

Glad I'm done, wont ever do it again, I hate RNG and so on.
Only have to decide how to dye it now

I started all over again o/! So far, I've completed Ponze of Flesh and Method in His Malice. Half way in the other two. For some reason, I'm getting these drops after 2/4 runs. Looks like I've got some VIP bonus when I finished the first one. I'm also masochist.

LOL we both like pains @Cyrus. Doing round 2 here as well and starting with WP/AV and HM. If anything I think Soldiery is worse than the RNG itself...

update :

almost finished. After 30+ runs selecting the last 5 dungeons I had, I got 4 drops within 2 hours yesterday. Only to be remembered that I was only at copperbell HM for the mutamix chain, so I have 3 more dungeons to go T_T

hopefully I'll have finished before christmas, so that I can spend the whole holidays with my family without logging on
