It's not winning the game, I know someone who bought T5 and T9 (earned the cash through crafting not selling bracelets) while I'm still at T8 (no skips).
In my opinion I've won more of the game than her and am enjoying the challenge.
In the end though:
You can tell who's first ride it is in this rodeo we call MMORPGs.
This also seems like a 'server' specific problem (kinda like hunts and housing were/are tbh). On my old server, you can almost always find at least 1-3 people trying to sell these items on the PF (I still have an alt on my old serve to keep in touch w/ friends etc). On my new server, I've only seen maybe 1 person advertising in the PF. Grant it, I don't look often, but it just doesn't seem like the thing to do here. Maybe also why SE has the stance they are currently taking...since it's only likely problematic on some servers....and since the initial 'Player Bond Newness' craze will soon end (meaning less people will want to buy/need to buy in the first place)...and since either way SE still makes a profit, it likely isn't worth them 'fixing'
In 2-4weeks, I just don't see it being an issue anymore as most people who really want to be married and/or who are already playing will buy in....and without potential interested customers, this behavior will dry up.
I am hoping to marry my hubby in game one day...but as for now, it's not happening as he is currently happier playing console games/Destiny and has asked me to stop his subscription for now. So unless he decides to give the game another go, I won't get the chance to marry in game. But still, I'm okay with that b/c if/when we do decide to get married, I likely won't have trouble reserving a spot.
People have been selling runs for over a year, long before the cash shop existed. They will continue to sell runs after people stop selling bracelets.
This is nothing new.
No issue with selling of runs for gil - it's lame but it's tolerated.
However when the gil is acquire by spending RL money ...
PS: Seriously, did you post without even reading the thread title?
The thing here is, as the negative (debate term, meaning against the status quo) we only have to prove one case of pay to win, as the affirmative (For the status quo) you have to disprove all cases of pay to win.
My argument:
Indirect RMT by definition is pay to win.
My case:
Experience pots are commonly used examples of pay to win. Evidence
Indirect RMT (buying of an item with real life currency to sell for ingame currency) in this game can purchase all the leve items to level a craft or gathering job. Evidence
Selling EB bracelets for Gil is indirect RMT as defined above.
Case closed.
Edit to add: to the gms, you guys did ask players to not sell them, but you also say that you are monitoring the situation... Hard to do when you keep locking threads that this is being discussed in.

We get, you don't like what people are doing with their money. However, there doesn't have to be 2145762456248 threads about the same thing, that's been talked about.. to death. The whole first 2 pages of the general discussion doesn't have to be about this, like its the only thing in the whole damn game....
I could care less about what people do with their money, fools and their money are soon parted. We get, you don't like what people are doing with their money. What I care about is that content can be skipped with real money when yoshi specificly stated he wouldn't put that in the cash shop
