rofl this is great and I couldn't agree moreI think Elvaan had the best looking weapon skill animations, despite how they held greatswords like they were waiting for someone to pitch a baseball at them.
On topic though, yes! To me, the fact that all races/sexes held weapons differently really made even the idle animations stand out. They say variety is the spice of life, and I am inclined to agree with this, because the different handling of each weapon always made me believe there were several disciplines throughout the game, and it was always fun to imagine that the Mithra had different traditions than the Elvaan. Then you bring in Tenzen, who is a hume but holds his weapon in his own unique way and shit really gets real! It may have just been something to look at, but it was definitely a meal for the eyes! Don't let your eyes go hungry, folks!
At least elvaan knew how to swing a greatsword. They may have looked like wanting to play baseball, but mithra swung like they were playing baseball. That said, I can't say my game experience would be improved with racial stances. It would be nice, but it'd be just that.
Yh one of the 1st things I saw in ff was a lack of racial uniqueness's. But oh well, this is a ps3 game afterall, more or less.
Because why would they take the dev time to develop and implement something great like this, which would affect every single character in the game in at least a small fashion, when they can instead waste many many hours and weeks of dev time on some pathetic RP wedding system?
