Colorbind Mode? (or something?)

First of all, I'm not sure if this is a bug or if it's a technical support issue.

Before farming lights for my Nexus, I hadn't done Garuda in a long time, but I'm pretty sure that at one point, my add tethers used to look like this

When I starting farming lights, someone said to "kill the red tether", but this is what I see now:

Apparently color blind mode doesn't exist in the game, and even if it did, it really doesn't make sense for it to change the color of the tether as long as the pattern is different, so I don't know how it ended up this way. Any suggestions?

"Red" hasn't been red for about a year now. It's green and slightly-skinnier-and-not-green.

That's strange. None of my FC mates nor anyone I have partied with has seen Garuda like this. They all say they still have a red tether, like this:
