    Computer Shut down "Help Please"

So i build a new PC for my GF and while playing FFXIV the computer shut down. I did a stress test on it and did not shut down. CPU temp goes up to 52C max load but when stressing out FPU it goes up to 62C.

The video card she using is the old one i was and the temp goes from 70-81c which was fine when i was using and playing ffxiv for hours on end.

When playing FFXIV the Fan shut down and PC lock up the light are still on but i have to turn it off from the PSU and turn it back on few time for the CPU fan to turn back on. I never had this type of issue it does not seem like overheating issue but who knows anyone can help me out?

Also it seem to only happen in FFXIV while playing wow at full setting and around the same temp noting happens.

Computer specs? Use the FFXIV Config tool. There will be an option copy the information to the clipboard. Paste it all here, in its entirety. We'll see if there is anything that stands out as known issues with FF14.

The video card is the same i use for 1year playing BETA1 too just a month ago that i got myself a new video card.

I did update the bios and also just put the new mobo with the old Window 7 still on it. You think that could be the issue? should i try and restart window 7 for the new mobo?

Ok, not sure how much know, or what you already looked for. So basics, just to be sure bases are covered; Latest video drivers? Overclocking turned off? The wattage in the new system's PSU is enough to handle the video card? Make sure you aren't running any windower software and does the problem happen in full screen mode as well as windowed mode?

The PSU is 450W the video card is a 3780AMD The CPU is a 94w Right now i'm playing in Full screen mode and i have 11.7 which is the new one going to try out the old one and try windower.

When i got the new mobo few days ago i left the old window 7 that i had in the HDD from other Mobo. Do you think this could be the issue?

What happen is Computer Lock up the CPU fan is off but the light are still on and no display is showing i have to turn off the PSU from the switch in the back and turn it back on so the CPU fan would power back up. I try WoW seeing that the only game i can try out ATM but it run fine with the same Temp.

There no Overclocking in this PC

How old is the PSU? Sense you swapped motherboards it could very well be that as a solid issue. Let us try and exhaust every way first before you jump to wiping out windows.

Do you have any way to watch your temps as you play?

The 450w power supply gives me some pause; in theory it is enough - depending on what other things you have in your computer, but I rarely recommend less than 550, especially for game like 14 that pushes all your components to their max. What was the PSU wattage in the old system? If its higher than the 450, I would suspect that as a possible culprit. Usually when you have to hard-switch the computer its because of a power issue or a heating issue (power issue could be a short somewhere, or a lack of power).

In most cases, swapping the hard drive shouldn't matter. The system is supposed to just stop using the old drivers, and start using the new ones. It -is- possible that it got muddled up though, and if the time it takes to reinstall windows and FF14 isn't too much, it certainly wouldn't hurt to try - especially because it could clear up any number of issues that could cause that sort of problem. Up to you if you want to try that or not (I will say, however, that having just reinstalled windows and FF two nights ago, I noticed a HUGE speed increase playing the game; cluttered HD makes for slow game play because how it loads the models).

Don't understand why my Video card is going 80-88C now when it was fine before when i was using it. When it was on my computer case it was 70-80C but i did see it around 80-85 before 1.17 patch. I'm getting a FPS of 60fps outside without issue on the setting i'm using right now.

going to try and lower the Setting to see if that help.

Have you taken the gpu out and cleaned the dust out recently?

my 560 GTX Ti never breaks above 75'C with fan @ 80% than again, it does have the Vapor chamber as well as the fact the fans spinning around 3k RPM. However, I do maintenance weekly to once every 2 weeks.
