Again, dragoons in past Final Fantasy games have wielded many of these weapons, including halberds, harpoons, tridents, and more.

Its odd because a "Bill" that Warriors use is actually a form of a Halberd. Except for a Kaiser Blade or Brush axe Neither of the laiter was an actual weapon though.

Longinus is also known as Holy Lance.. Its almost like a two for one deal, two lances named after the same thing.. Only one looks better and one has better stats.

On a side note Samurai were also trained in the form of mounted Archery with bows called Yumi. Just for historical significance here's Nasu no Yoichi and why there's a bow named after him for Archers and Samurai in Final Fantasy.
