With the fee you cover everything. Take less or more time, but you have access.
The problem is the community, it's not SE fault.
Players don't search an static or don't like raids. They prefer farm money and pay for a rush. It's a available style to play the game.

when before paying a subs was meaning have acces to the whole game depending of your own dedication or skill, now, your wallet can affect it. that the trouble, for now it's only vanity item until... well some people will come and say i say what if... but so far, everything SE have done was what i have saying.

i will add something.... the: "For Now!" with the arrival of the dye and the eternal bonding, later the triple triad... who know where they gonna stop? that the point, it's why people was against the Cash shop at the start, because you begin nice and gently until people want more, because it's human nature to want more... seriously can you prove me that SE will not go farer when we know it's already planned with the triple triad? (and probably other stuff from the golden saucer.)

And now they're only adding more and more content that's locked behind a paywall. This entire patch aside from the zodiac upgrade was a cash shop patch. I honestly don't see how anyone can still defend this. Are you this delusional? Are you THAT devoted to Square Enix?

That's not really a fair arguement. Try not to just look at one side of things. Yes, the subscription fee does include all the core mechanics and features of the game (And that's exactly the side you are looking at right now), gear progression and raid progression might be everything to you in a MMORPG, but from another side some people actually enjoy collecting mounts and minions or be a fashionista, they are gated by an extra pay wall to achieve what they wanted to achieve. Just like some people farm for pony in extreme primals some farm for gears. Say those pony requires the players to actually overcome some form of challenge before they can obtain it (so they can have some bragging rights), but now SE decided to put all the new mounts in the cash shop, everyone who pays for it can get it, if you look at their side that is the same as pay to win.

Well, those that want let's say a minion or a piece of equipments that sell for let's say 2M and that piece never been sold, because of the price to high for it's cost, it will become affordable for someone that get cash from cash shop, the price will never goes down because of the ease of getting money from the shop and people that were waiting for the price to goes down will wait longer than before as the price will keep rising up.

So no, it's not only about Coil, it's also about economy.

that's give an unfair advantage to cashoper. I don't care about wedding stuff as long as it is bound with no chance to sell it. I do care about Dye items because i was interested about them, but not in that way.

I'm sure this has been mentioned by someone else, but I'll say it again because it's what I find wrong about both a subscription and a cash shop.

You pay your monthly subscription with the expectation that it will be used (in part) to create more content - be that raids, housing, side quests, cosmetics (something for every kind of player - and we all dabble in parts of it). In the same way, F2P games do this using the revenue generated from their cash shops. Here though, we are paying our monthly fees to ensure the continual development of content (for everyone), but some of this content is being placed into the cash shop with SE essentially double dipping.

You're paying SE to create items, so that you can have the opportunity to pay even more money to acquire it in the game. Regardless of whether you think dyes or mounts or wedding stuff are fluff and you're not interested in them, you don't need half a brain to see that this is not right. Wouldn't you prefer that your monthly fee be put towards better, less buggy content, rather than on developing 'stuff' for the cash shop?

They're triple-dipping at this point. Current iteration of AION is single-dipping (Cash shop), Guild Wars 2 is double-dipping (Buy to Play, Cash shop), Elder Scrolls Online and Final Fantasy XIV are both triple-dipping (Buy to Play, Sub to Play, Cash shop). Of course, when the former revealed their triple-dipping (well ahead of launch, so people knew what they would sign up on), it was met with a big internet outrage from fans who wanted the game to succeed, so there's that.
