Do you wanna play the game? do it. IF your partner has odin's mount or a wdding chocobo don't affect you in anything, These mounts run same velocity.
They have a cash shop minion, wohhh, i have a opo opo, bluebird, fat cat and other rare minions that i got farming myself and happy to do it.

If you can sell the bracelet in mb is a problem like RMT. Maybe SE put that items in shop to avoid RMT or just simply SE doesn't take into account that. Every law loophole

Playing devil's advocate here. I don't think anyone would have a problem with things being behind a paywall if the game had no other revenue stream. However, a lot of people signed on to this game because they thought the subscription fee would cover everything as it has done for several years.

Adding another question to the OP: Do you see a difference in paying for Server Transfers compared to paying for Minions, how about paying for Fantasias?

For the first time since the first day of 1.0 alpha, i want to see this game die...

I helped support the game when it needed us to survive. I did it because I believed in the cry for help from the devs and the company. I figured they really wanted to create a game for us, the players. That the money would come from our loyalty and ear-to-mouth subscriptions.
I was grossly mistaken. It was simply a cry of hunger... for money. And now that the game is doing "well" financially, the mask has fallen. Apparently having ethics and principles is too much asking.

I regret funding this game and this company. SE is like EA...

Paying for a vanity item or a mount is not a big factor. It's nothing, just glamour and a big mark "Hey i paid real money to get it".

Pay real money don't help you to clear Final Coil, get the last weapons or the best gear. So who cares if the shop is open?

i will add something.... the: "For Now!" with the arrival of the dye and the eternal bonding, later the triple triad... who know where they gonna stop? that the point, it's why people was against the Cash shop at the start, because you begin nice and gently until people want more, because it's human nature to want more... seriously can you prove me that SE will not go farer when we know it's already planned with the triple triad? (and probably other stuff from the golden saucer.)

And now they're only adding more and more content that's locked behind a paywall. This entire patch aside from the zodiac upgrade was a cash shop patch. I honestly don't see how anyone can still defend this. Are you this delusional? Are you THAT devoted to Square Enix?

Well, those that want let's say a minion or a piece of equipments that sell for let's say 2M and that piece never been sold, because of the price to high for it's cost, it will become affordable for someone that get cash from cash shop, the price will never goes down because of the ease of getting money from the shop and people that were waiting for the price to goes down will wait longer than before as the price will keep rising up.

So no, it's not only about Coil, it's also about economy.

Thing is, why pay for things that are free? Problem we have right now is, people think it's OKAY to pay extra for things that could have been free, so essentially they are paying for things that are free and supporting it. Take Odin mount for example, I am pretty sure it could be obtained from other in-game activities means if people weren't okay with the idea of having a cash shop.

But hey, if you like to pay for things that is free, who am I to argue?

Cash shop is a tool to give SE an excuse to be greedy and cripple the potentials this game could have.

same it was a big factor for me to come to the game.
i hate the fact that some content are gated behind a paywall, when we pay every month a subs, for me it's bad in too many way. sadly too many new player are supporting it. certainly because most of them have probably only know free to play, then for them it's normal to have content gated behind a cash shop.

do i think the game did get better? no and every patch since the cash shop have show bad sign of a direction really greedy.
