    Unable to complete version check - 30410 30607 20457 404

Pretty much said it all in the title, because I'm aware (After much research) that there are a number of different codes to this error. Most famous one seems to be with a 409 error from ages past but that is not the case here. Many methods to fix it were done, from changing small details on FFXIV's boot .cfg file to even a system restore. I've read that it might be the 'servers getting slammed with requests', but my friends seem to be able to log in just fine. Note that I CAN input username and password but the message pops up before what I imagine would be the 'patch' moment could happen. This started today with the advent of 2.45. Finally, a pic of the screen I get:

Discovered the problem and solution: During an inspection of game files, I found that inside the game folder, both the ffxivgame.ver and ffxivgame.bck files were empty. Another player informed me that theirs held a code not unlike the one on the top left launcher window. My friend provided me with the code of the previous game version, and after inputting that through notepad, I was able to get the patch up and running. This makes sense when we consider the code 404 is (likely) universal for 'Not found'; The version code was not found in this case. Somehow the codes were lost when I opened up the launcher (but hadn't logged in yet at the time) and my power went out. That likely accounts for the loss of data. If anyone ever has this problem, well this seems to be the solution. Thank you.
