So because it "is so" we should accept it?
I'm whining (is every complain now called that?) because it doesn't make any sense, it isn't fun, it's demotivating, it leads to a boring, mindless grindfest and because there is not a single good reason that it should be that way.

I, for example, can not understand how someone think it is normal to get a smaller reward for archiving a far more difficult and challenging goal.

Probably because I've played a lot more MMOs throughout the years than you had...
