    NPC - Relationship building

I think it would be pretty cool if we were able to slowly build up rapport (or at least have them gain knowledge of who we are) with some NPCs dependant on how often we did leves/quests for them. Sort of like fame in FFXI, but a bit more NPC-specific. I only say this after Claroise calls me a stripling for the 100th time. I'm not bothered by that, but I thought "Wouldn't she know me by now? Why is she surprised?"

A "Fame" or "reputation" system would be nice.

I agree with the fame or reputation end. It always made everything a little better knowing that we were also building something transparent up. The benefits of which weren't always 100% necessary, but worthwhile all the same. I think this could not only be implemented but built upon.

That being, I really hope many of the core NPCs will go under an aesthetic rehaul and have unique models/textures/clothing. I mean none really stick out since they just look like players with an assortment of odd gear.

I really like this idea too!! It makes you feel like a real hero when everyone in the town knows your name and gives you some sort of respect in their NPC dialogue. It would really help with immersion and flavor, and making it feel like your efforts are worthwhile. Definitely a core aspect of any RPG!!
