So for ages, people complain about how boring and slow most content is and we had many of a WHM complain how painful it is to always cast Stoneskin individually, especially after each wipe. Now that we get a spell that makes the slow crawl less painful, people want that comfort removed because....why?
Did no one watch the fan fest and saw how Yoshida reacted towards the tediousness of casting Stoneskin player by player?

So you're complaining about a bonus skill you're getting not being useable in battle? That would essentially require them to add a new skill to every class. Leaving it to out-of-battle only situations makes it so it's not really adding an edge over scholar in terms of gameplay. Jesus you should have to past some kind of basic competency test before you can post on the forums.

As a NIN I can't use stealth while in combat, is that also a design flaw?

OMG people can complain about anything.
A QoL spell was asked for by players that are banging their heads, trying to learn the raid, and wiping repeatedly - which the OP doesn't seem to raid much according to achievements
18% SS during battle would feel a bit too powerful unless it has insanely high MP cost- learn to dodge man.
and LOL swift song doesn't give combat advantage - it allows you to dodge shit easier if you can move faster, and it's a good thing that it isn't allowed in combat

Out of curiosity why didn't they just make stoneskin (I) affect multiple members when out of combat, and only the target when within? I'm for QoL changes when they can fit the game image, but I don't think it was necessary to make it its own spell.
Maybe someone can give a good example why you would want it separate? (Out of combat means mana cost is a bit irrelevant).

Cause it's the way the armory/class system works. Very limited.Out of curiosity why didn't they just make stoneskin (I) affect multiple members when out of combat, and only the target when within? I think it's because if it's in 1 skill, the cast time can be interupted when one is casting the stoneskin (aoe version) if the whm gets emnity when casting, if its a seperate skill, one can manage on to cast which stoneskin suited the best in a fight.. E.g: Nexus farm tank will pull before the cast complete anyway.. It's better that single stonekin is being delivered to the tank rather than nothing at all..Out of curiosity why didn't they just make stoneskin (I) affect multiple members when out of combat, and only the target when within? I can see stoneskins not being applied as annoying but in my example wouldn't obtaining aggro just mean the effect is changed to a single target?I think it's because if it's in 1 skill, the cast time can be interupted when one is casting the stoneskin (aoe version) if the whm gets emnity when casting, if its a seperate skill, one can manage on to cast which stoneskin suited the best in a fight.. Cast, no aggro, finish -> AoE
Cast, aggro during, finish -> Single Target
Cast, aggro from the start, finish -> Still Single Target
I suppose I shouldn't spend too much forum space on such a thing that matters very little but I just think if they ever wanted to make a real stoneskin II it is going to have to be III or a different name lol.
Trait for stoneskin II would be stuck in out of combat occasions, stacking a buff on stoneskin I but not II would make II useless. Definitely can add something to II but it would be QoL only stuff. Can always add another spell name or tier :P
