Well, since you aren't required to buy them to play I'd say they are in fact optional. I think those who feel the absolute need to purchase things from the cash shop are in the very extreme minority and also maybe need to think about their habits and choices in real life.

You aren't required to do coil. You aren't required to leave a city state. Mor Dhona? Not required. Additional jobs? Nah! Not required. In-game music...not required.

You know what's going to be next? Hairstyles! Why? because people want 'em.

Please don't give us a response. The cash shop items really aren't a big deal and just a small percentage of the people that disagree are the ones posting.

They are simply stating that even though we pay a subscription the items in the item shop are not available to the user in game via quest or grind. The fact that they are limited only to the cash shop is what infuriates people.

Subscription is only for access to their game server to play their game. Read the ToS, stop the "subscription = entitlement" mentality.

OK then. If they're optional, how about we take glamour away and put that in the cash shop? I mean, it's optional after all. Dyes? Optional. Unique armor models? Optional. Hairstyles? Optional. Coil? Optional. Extreme modes? Optional.

Yesh... I see it, sadly, and I see it clear... If 99% of the database would be like you and me in that sense, probably these things wouldn't be happening. but as long as there's at least one 20% or so supporting those things, we are only going to have more and more... Retainers seemed to be just the start.

While I don't mind, to be hoonest, to see certain mounts or minions there... Now... NOW DYES?!..... Oh my... The happiness to see that Ninja's nerf is not so much, and that my lolDRG finally has some buffs is... Frustrated by the optional items.
