Gilgamesh has a BROTHER?!

I think it'd be pretty sweet if Gilgamesh had Yojimbo for a nemesis.

Old Greg's green rooster & Yojimbo's dog could even have antics with each other.

Yojimbo could have his own dry humour & a distinct personality from Greg, it'd be amazing!

How do you all like this idea?

I think it's the perfect way to put Yojimbo into this game (a fun addition/nod) & would fit really nicely.

I doubt they'd be siblings, but they would certainly be rivals of sorts.

Yojimbo could not be his brother, because he his from the lore of FFX and Gilgamesh is the same through all the FF. If he had a brother he would be from the Genji clan, but we barely know anything about them and Yojimbo does not fit the description.

He was the same in FFIX, he had the four arm and was looking for excalibur too.
If you got the excalibur II you could read the note:

XI was the only one where it may not have been the same Gilgamesh.

But the one in XIV is obviously the one from the rift.

I can see how the two character could fit together but not as brother.

First, Yojimbo is from Zanarkand and not from Genji clan

Second, Yoshi-P said that a cameo character would never come if they're dead in their own game. Yojimbo being dead for lore reasons (he's a Faith), he won't come in FFxiv.

Easy precedent for that: Cid, he's been vastly different in his various incarnations in the series. This game's Gilgamesh could have a brother who could be named/patterned after Yojimbo, no problem.
