Seinnheiser.
With the Steel Series and Sennheiser you will go safe, because they're basically the best in terms of quality/price right now:
http://steelseries.com/products/audi...ia-elite-prism (199€)
http://www.amazon.com/Sennheiser-Col.../dp/B0012XFDWO (86€)
Don't buy Razer, Triton, Trust, Ecc... while Turtle Beach is still a great brand if your budget is low. Without to mention Logitech which always manufacter great devices, but a little bit expensive when it comes to audio-sytems or headphones for what they've to offer.
In the end, my suggestion is to start with the PC 350 I linked above. They're amazing for that price.
P.S. Users are writing about Astro. I was the owner of a pair of A40, that was basically my very first gaming headset. I had tons of problems with the Mixamp and after 8 months, by simply falling down from the chair, they completely broke with the internal comunication cables cutted off from the damaged plastic edges of the shell. They might look solid because of their thin components and the metallic tags on the sides but they're not if compared to something else.

I used a $40 Logitech headset for years. I would use them again. The only reason I replaced them is because the fake leather was falling off into little bits. I really liked them. It took me forever to find a pair I liked. I don't keep them on all the time, so that might make a difference.
These are the ones I got: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Bit expensive but I expect them not to fall apart and have them for 10 years![]()

I've been using these babies and i'm loving them. Really great audio quality and a really comfortable size.

These are a really good option too.

Gosh dango darn....
Logitech G930 (wireless) or Logitech G35 is the non wireless one. There is also the G230 which is very cheap for the quality (best bang for buck) and then there's the G430 which is the big brother of the G230.
Sennheiser PC 363D ~ $350CAD
- Super light and comfortable
- Volume dial on right side
- Great mic quality
- Great sound, very crisp
It is hard to find a good headset that also has a good mic. Usually the mic is terrible. This headset is insanely comfortable and can be worn for hours, no problem. You're ears won't get overheated and your head will feel fine. Everyone you use the mic with will think you sound great. It has noise cancellation as well. The audio is supreme. Playing CS:GO, you can pin point exactly where people are located.
Hope my suggestion helps!
