Market Ward Congestion

I know it's been said a million times, but it clearly isn't enough. I quit the game for about 5 months and just came back to try it out. While there have been a TON of improvements, the Market Wards are still awful!

I spent 20 minutes just trying to find a ward that I could even PUT my retainer into. Every ward I went to was at capacity. Now, imagine what happens when the game is released on PS3 and the amount of people online quadruples (or more).

Please, please, PLEASE just get rid of the wards and add an AH... or at worst just supplement the wards WITH an AH. I know it's tough to scrap the whole system but it just isn't working. It's cumbersome, time consuming, and annoying.

My server must just me much less populated, I have never gotten a message saying they were at capacity. I move my retainers around a lot too. I believe the wards should remain, an auction house could easily kill crafting for profit. That being said, they still could use some work to make them a little more user friendly.

I fail to see how an auction house would kill profit for crafters - care to explain?
During my time in game, most of it is spent crafting. The market wards are, in fact, a badly gimped and cumbersome version of an auction house. Notice how there is not a single good search function in the entire game - there is a reason for that (i.e. their bad programming model)

As many people have suggested, instead of making an AH, which would take a lot of time, all they would need to do is make the market wards universal. For example, we search for an item in Ul'dah and retainers with that item in other city states show up as well as just the ones in Ul'dah. Also, those retainers will appear in all three wards. Done.

I have gotten the same message many times as well. Had to put my npc in the wrong ward. They need to refine the search system too. Make it so we can search by rank and class.

I agree fully. Especially on the cumbersome, time consuming and annoying part. It's just a bad system.

I would love to see an auction house in the game. It was the second most requested thing after content in the players poll...
