BLM macro question

I am confused.

Literally the only thing the macro does is make you face target for fire ball. Exactly like pressing F while casting. It does not slow down the cast or make it cast later than normal. Use the macro for controller, it helps in the exact same way pressing F does. For FCoB theirs lots of movement the bosses do, so being able to turn mid cast helps a lot. It doesn't interrupt you. No negative impact, no reason to not do it.

If you must use a macro (which I strongly discourage) for fire I would only use that once and then use the unmacroed fire until you have to move again. That way you won't lose your ability queue.

I'm on PC, but I use controller. I have 2 completely similar hotbars except one entirely face target macro'ed. I ONLY USE IT during T11 add phase. I try to avoid using it by using Procs to move further ahead of the Cube.

Macros prevent you from precasting lol.
