Please allow more and larger UI scaling options

So guys, I noticed a really interesting setting for the new benchmark which lets you scale the UI in the character creator. This is what I found.

720p:


1080p:


4K:


Could it be...we're making progress here?? The logos and copyright text get tiny but the actual UI in the character creator was scaling with resolution!

Maybe we can be cautiously optimistic about the Heavensward client??!?!

SqEnix, could we at least get some sort of acknowledgement that a fix is on the way for this? I'd love to take advantage of my rig and 4K TV with this gorgeous game, but I need to be able to see the UI...

Well, there is now a video card that costs less than $1000 which can run this game pretty well in 4K:

Let's not forgot the buggy mouse curser when trying to navigate the UI at 4k resolution. I tried out 4k recently and couldn't navigate properly at all. The problem is having to adjust the mouse to a lower point than the actual icon is sitting to click it.

I heard about this problem but it's apparently associated with using DSR? I haven't noticed any UI misalignment when running natively in 4K.

That being said, while I don't imagine I'll be needing it anytime soon, more options for the people who want them is never a bad thing. Especially when it's something as relatively simple as UI scaling......

I have a huge 4K TV and the maximum scale is way bigger than the OP screen. And everything works just fine. No buggy mouse mode, it works awesomly with the game mode activated.. Though I guess you already tried all the possible options ingame so I think there are big differences between different brands and TVs..?

Unfortunately, despite there being a free scaling option in the Heavensward benchmark, this UI has not been addressed in the actual expansion client. I'm a bit frustrated, this problem has been known for a long time now. Now that I have a 980 Ti, FFXIV is now literally the only game I have to play in 1080p and it makes me sad. I wish we could at least get a dev comment on it this will ever be addressed or not.
