This was suggested some time ago. As far as I remember, they said that they couldn't do it or it would be hard to implement because they need to make adjustments on every dungeon so set their difficulty and mechanics for a 5-man group. Not to mention the future content. Personally, I would love to. I like crowded dungeons/raids.

Only if we get experience like we did in FFXIII, where even sideline characters win too.

No one would ever swap me in because I suck, so yay!

Keep the old dungeons 4-man and design new dungeons around 3, 5, 6 people etc. No need to shoehorn a different party size into content that wasn't meant to support that many people.

This is a good compromise. It doesn't break dungeons that are already in the game.

That would still require new systems brought in, which still take time and resources. The DF roulettes would need a reworking to, because it has to figure out how many people belong in what dungeon.

Everyone needs witty and comedic relief! Plus, we can always train you to be better.

As for increasing the party size, I'd have to say it would require them to redesign the entire game's party structure entirely. All dungeons would have to be made stronger. Certain content that worked with 4 people will now require 5. It sounds like a nightmare.

You are...aware that there are allready dungeons with multiple requirements allready right? The framework is allready in place, hell Sircus Tower only needs 1 tank per group and frontlines can auto enable even if short members.

I personally think the 1:1:3 would be great to solve the Queue issues.

    Commendations.
If I play dps I only give it out to other dps.
If I play tank I only give it out to healers.
If I play healer I only give it out to tank.

Only if they should be getting a commendation.

Some framework is in place. They can adjust team requirements. They can start something with less than full (which seriously should be on ST).

And yet, there's one thing that begs the question if it's possible, in regards to who I was replying to:

Do they have a system in place that would account for a cap other than four, eight, or 24? Can the system handle it correctly with a copy of the same code that it uses now with the number changed? Probably, but that's besides the point. The person I replied to suggested to leave current dungeons the way they are, but make newer ones with different amounts. Can Duty Roulette allow for a pick of an old dungeon at four and a new dungeon at five? When exactly does it pick your dungeon (actually I'm interested to find out!)? It would take some extra programming to make sure that it doesn't try to stick five in a four or cap four in a five.

And that's where the time comes in. Remember that time everyone was crying because they had been working on player housing for over a year and we got something most people are still peeved about? They still had to take time to make a system to allow individuals to buy. And I was specifically talking about Duty Roulette, not Duty Finder as a whole.
