Will raid gear (to include CT gear) ever be dyeable?
Will raid gear (to include CT gear) ever be dyeable?
I hope so! I think CT, Hunt, and Starter gear should be dyable. I understand not being able to dye certain sets that pay homage to a boss (ST for example) but I don't see any reason why starting clothes and other cool sets like hunting gear/raid gear should not be dyeable. I've never understood why SE puts so many restrictions on dyeing things in this game. Like they have the system in place, why put so many restrictions up? Ironworks gear is another example.
Would be nice. It would certainly help to get rid of the same look that everyone of each job has.
I think the reason is because they'd have to go back and and add more color options for pieces that are dyed. Normally I would say this is no problem but something tells me it is somehow hardcoded to be a set color and this is the reason behind "Augmentations" on the gear that don't have the hardcoding.
So, in other words in order to dye Raid gear they will most likely need to be augmented and to obtain the item to augment there would be some odd restriction like:
1. Obtain an item from a turn that allows it to be used as an augmentation item. (Then you have to roll on it w/ everyone)
2. Make it a new crafted item.
3. Make it an item you purchase from an npc in game.
(I'd personally prefer the last option instead; the other options are tedious, and if they don't upgrade the item it is annoying.)
If whatever you're shooting doesn't die after you pump 8, 32 caliber, slugs into it, it's probably a dragon.
All 3 options are fine with me. I just want to dye some of them. Excellent design, but the coloring on some of the gear is bad.I think the reason is because they'd have to go back and and add more color options for pieces that are dyed.
